EVERETT — Firefighters on Tuesday morning battled a blaze that destroyed a family’s mobile home.
Crews were called to a mobile home in the 7700 block of Hardeson Road just before 10 a.m., Everett Fire Marshal Glen Martinsen said.
Two brothers, both adult men, and their mother were living at the home. One of the brothers said his mother discovered the fire and made sure they got out safely, Martinsen said.
Medics took the woman to a local hospital for a medical evaluation. The men were not hurt.
Crews were on scene for almost two hours. The double-wide home was damaged enough to make it difficult for the firefighters to go inside, Martinsen said. “We had to take a lot of time to extinguish little bits and pieces of the fire before we could go in.”
The home was total loss, Martinsen said. Red Cross volunteers were called to assist the family.
