EVERETT — Some residents of a downtown Everett apartment building stayed warm Monday morning in a city bus after being displaced by a fire.
Sprinklers at the Colby Crest Apartments in the 2500 block of Colby Avenue helped contain a fire to one unit in the complex, Everett city spokeswoman Kate Reardon said. The fire was on the fourth floor in the five-story building.
One person was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment, she said.
Crews were called to the building about 10:20 a.m.
A city bus was brought to the location to help people stay warm as fire officials worked in the building.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
