Wind gusts of up to 40 mph in Snohomish County and up to 60 mph in Island County are on their way, according to National Weather Service.
A high-wind warning was issued this morning by the weather service for Island County, and a wind advisory was issued for Snohomish County.
After 2 p.m., the wind in Snohomish County could reach steady speeds of 30 mph. High winds should begin decreasing after 11 p.m., National Weather Service Meteorologist Johnny Burg said.
In Island County, steady wind speeds could reach 30 to 40 mph by noon. The high-wind warning ends at 6 p.m.
About half-an-inch of rain is forecast in Snohomish County, Burg said.
