UW-Bothell offers transfer fair
University of Washington Bothell will host a transfer fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the campus.
Participants can meet advisers and students; gather information on financial aid, student lif, and academic support services; and learn more about new campus housing.
The fair will be in the North Creek Events Center, 18115 Campus Way NE. Advisers will offer information sessions for veterans to discuss educational benefits, veterans services and the transitional process of starting or continuing education after service. Sessions are at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in UW1-103.
Haiti benefit sale: St.Mary Magdalen School in Everett is having a sale to help victims of the Haiti earthquake and flooding in the Philippines.
It’s planned for 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at 8615 Seventh Ave. SE in Everett.
Students are collecting new and gently used toys and games and are baking treats to be sold. Students are going through their closets and toy chests with the idea that what they give will help the people of Haiti and the Philippines. Donations will be accepted at the sale.
School budget forums: The Granite Falls School District is hosting community forums at 6 p.m.Tuesday and Thursday at Mountain Way Elementary School, 702 N. Granite Ave., to provide an overview on the budget process.
