Everett Library seat
The city of Everett seeks a volunteer to fill the remainder of a five-year term on the Everett Public Library Board. The new member will serve until Dec. 31, 2020.
The Everett Public Library is governed by the Board of Library Trustees. The board consists of five members who are appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the City Council. Each member serves as president during the fifth year of service.
The board has the authority to make decisions regarding the management and control of the library, including selecting a director. The board meets at 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month at the Main Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave.

Family night at EvCC: Everett Community College will hold a Spanish language family night at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 14 in the student fitness center.
