Road update: Lynnwood’s work to upgrade 36th Avenue West is moving along.
The City Council on Monday is expected to consider a proposal to purchase right-of-way land on four properties. The total cost for the proposal is estimated at $168,000.
Construction on the $14 million road project is scheduled to begin in 2018.
Seeking nominations: Mountlake Terrace is now accepting nominations for its 8th Annual Evergreen Awards program. The city started the program in 2009 to recognize owners who take great care of their properties.
This year’s categories include: best maintained residence, business and multifamily properties; most sustainable property; and best transformation. Nominees are evaluated with properties in the same neighborhood.
Nomination forms are available online and will be accepted through May 27. Nominations also may emailed to cityhall@ci.mlt.wa.us with Evergreen Awards in the subject line. Be sure to include the address, category and reason for nominating the property.
An awards ceremony is scheduled for September.
