Free business summit in Marysville
The Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber is putting on a free small business summit Sept. 14 at the Marysville Opera House, 1225 Third St. The event runs from 4 to 7 p.m. It includes presentations from professionals, vendor booths and a panel discussion of the economic forecast. To register, go to marysvilletulalipchamber.com/events and select “Small Business Summit 2017.” Those who register in advance are eligible for a door prize drawing.

Happy hour under the flightline
The Future of Flight Aviation Center overlooking Paine Field has added one more Summer Night event from 5 to 9 p.m. Sept. 15. Enjoy live music, drinks, trivia and more on the Strato Deck. Admission to the event is free to members and $5 for non-members. Proceeds benefit financial aid for youth education programs. This is an all-ages event.

Enjoy a musical jam
Enjoy an evening of old-time music with fiddle, guitar, banjo and more Friday, and every second and fourth Friday, at the Sisco Heights Community Club, 13527 99th Ave. NE, Arlington. There’s a Celtic jam at 5 p.m., workshop at 6, and circle jam at 7. Musicians are welcome, or just come and enjoy the music.

Lighthouse Festival coming up
The Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival runs Friday to Sunday on the Mukilteo waterfront. Help “Light Up the Sound” with the Run-A-Muk fun run, a parade, vendors, children’s activities and more. Fireworks shows are Friday and Saturday nights. Admission is free.
Activities take place at the Mukilteo Lighthouse Park and Rosehill Community Center. Parking and shuttle service is offered at Olympic View Middle School (2602 Mukilteo Speedway), Travis Industries (12521 Harbour Reach Drive), and Kamiak High School (10801 Harbour Pointe Blvd.). Parking at Kamiak on Saturday does not open until after the parade.

Tutors needed at EvCC
Everett Community College’s Volunteer Literacy Program seeks volunteers who can tutor adults learning basic reading, writing and math skills and students learning English. An informal interview and a training workshop are required.

Donate to book sale
The Friends of the Edmonds Library seeks donations to its ongoing book sale, including gently used books, CDs, videos, DVDs, sheet music, magazines and computer software. Sale proceeds benefit library programs and a scholarship fund. A drop box for donations is in the foyer of the library, at 650 Main St. Pick-up service is available for large donations.
