Senior resource fair

A 55+ Resource Fair is planned from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Camano Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island. Find information on health, exercise, transportation, estate planning, housing, leisure, volunteer opportunities and more. Admission is free and includes lunch.

Langley senior fair

An “Aging in Comfort” resource fair is planned from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.

The free event is sponsored by the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner and Island Senior Resources and includes a free lunch. It’s being held at Island Senior Resources, 14594 State Road 525, Langley.

People of all ages are encouraged to attend. After the short presentations, staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions, offer support and provide assistance.

Sound Transit open house

Sound Transit is hosting three open houses as the agency plans parking and access improvements to the Edmonds and Mukilteo Sounder stations. The public also can make comments online until April 8 at edmondsmukilteo.infocommunity.org. At the stations, the agency is investing $40 million in projects that could include additional parking as well as improvements for pedestrians, bikers and buses.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Edmonds Library, 650 Main St.

1 p.m. to 4 p.m. March 30 at the Mukilteo Library, 4675 Harbour Point Blvd.

9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. March 31 at the Edmonds and Mukilteo station platforms.

Public hearing for riverfront development

The city of Everett’s planning commission is holding a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on the Riverfront development. The proposed plan could bring 1,250 new units of housing, a specialty grocery store and movie theater to the site. The hearing will take place at City Council chambers at 3002 Wetmore Ave.

Sound Horsekeeping workshop

Join the Snohomish Conservation District for a workshop Saturday on overcoming spring pasture challenges. It will start with an indoor presentation, then go to Warm Beach Camp’s stables for hands-on activities to see how they handle pasture, mud and manure. The event will be 1 to 4 p.m. at Warm Beach Camp, 20800 Marine Drive in Stanwood.
