Call to artists: Puget Sound-area artists are invited to submit original artwork to be used on the 2016 Puget Sound Bird Fest poster. This year’s event is scheduled from Sept. 9 to 11. The poster format is 11-by-17-inch portrait orientation. A $200 prize, sponsored by the Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation, will be awarded to the winner. Talent show: The Marysville Strawberry Festival Talent Show is holding a second round of auditions from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Marysville Pilchuck High School auditorium, 5611 108th St. NE.

Genealogy talk: Genealogist Gary Zimmerman will discuss “Passports and Naturalization Resources” at the next meeting of the Sno-Isle Genealogical Society, 6:30 p.m. June 1 at the Family History Center, 22015 48th Ave. W, Mountlake Terrace. Zimmerman is president of Fiske Library in Seattle. Guests are welcome.
