Candidate forum
Local Catholic parishes and Catholic Community Services host a 2016 Legislative Candidates Forum, 6:30-9 p.m. today in Mattie Hall at Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish, 2517 Hoyt Ave., Everett. The forum is free to attend and open to the public. Legislative candidates from the 38th, 39th and 44th districts have been invited to present their agendas and answer questions from the audience. Candidates will begin speaking at 7 p.m. Questions will begin at 8:30 p.m.
Republican forum: The Snohomish County Republican Women’s Club hosts a forum with Republican candidates for office at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shawn O’Donnell’s restaurant, 122 128th St. SE, Everett. Lunch is available with RSVP for $15 (call Frauna Hoglund at 425-870-2524). Scheduled speakers include Rep. Dan Kristiansen, Neil Thannisch, Jeff Scherrer, John Koster and Robert Sutherland.
Vision for Everett: Mayor Ray Stephanson and the Everett City Council seek volunteers to participate on a Vision Committee that will update the “Vision 2025” report produced by a similar committee a decade ago. Volunteers must live in the city limits and be able to meet two evenings a month through spring. More information is at www.everettwa.gov/vision committee.
