In the past, Everett hairstylist Barbie Fraker has offered salon services to victims of domestic violence and has cut hair to raise money for other causes. On Saturday, she’ll give free haircuts to people who are unemployed.
As part of a daylong open house Fraker is holding at Barbie’s Hair Styling, her business at 2531 Wetmore Ave. in Everett, she’ll give free haircuts to jobless people who otherwise can’t afford them from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.
How will she know if someone is out of work? Fraker said she’s making the offer on the “honor system” — she’ll take their word that they’re in need.
