GOP women meet
Jake Braunger from the Washington State Republican Party will talk about the state convention and electing delegates to the national convention at the next meeting of the Snohomish County Republican Women’s Club at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shawn O’Donnell’s restaurant, 112th 128th St. SE, Everett. Hoedown: Marysville Rotary presents A Good Old-Fashioned Community Hoedown, a fundraiser to help the Marysville Historical Society finish its new museum. The free event runs from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the society’s building at 6805 Armar Road. A chili cook-off is one of the highlights, with participants helping judge the winner. AAUW seeks members: The Edmonds SnoKing branch of the American Association of University Women seeks new members. Regular membership is open to anyone holding at least an associate’s degree or the equivalent. Dues are $72 per year. The nonprofit AAUW focuses on improving the lives of women and their families. “Friend of the Branch” and student memberships also are available.
