Navy brass have had a change of heart and will give “Cinderella liberty” to the thousands of sailors due to arrive at Naval Station Everett today.
Five Navy ships and a Coast Guard cutter are expected at the Navy base today, and will set sail for Seattle on Thursday to participate in the parade of ships at Seafair. Originally, the Navy planned to keep visiting sailors restricted to Naval Station Everett.
Now, sailors will be able to leave the base, but they must report back to their ships by midnight.
