Throw suspicious tomatoes in trash
Rita Smith, community education coordinator with Waste Management, has a request.
Because of the possible presence of salmonella in some tomatoes, Waste Management requests that all residential and business customers put suspicious tomatoes and suspect raw tomato products such as salsa in the garbage, not in curbside yard or food carts.
Anyone using a backyard compost bin is encouraged to follow this same advisory and not put them with compost. Same goes for worm bins.

File online graffiti report in Marysville
The Marysville Graffiti Task Force offers an online form for submitting reports of graffiti vandalism in the city.
The task force is a group of residents, business owners and officials fighting graffiti in the city who hope the online forms can speed removal of graffiti.
A law approved by the city last year allows the city to levy fines of $25 for anyone who does not clean graffiti from their property within four days.
The new online form also provides a way to submit photos.
It can be found at www.ci.marysville.wa.us.
