Shred documents in Marysville
Marysville is offering a chance for city residents to safely dispose of unwanted personal papers at a Document Destruction Day.
The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today in the parking lot at Marysville City Hall, 1049 State Ave.
Data Base, a Kirkland-based information protection company that contracts with the city and state, is bringing a mobile truck that pulverizes documents beyond recognition, according to the city.
Document destruction is on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to personal documents only, with a limit of six boxes per person. No drop-offs of documents are permitted.
High school club to hold car wash
The Interact Club at Everett High School is a social and service club, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Everett. The members take on service projects to expand understanding of the world and to promote goodwill, said club president Neelam Sidhu.
Members are raising money for World Concern at a car wash from noon to 3 p.m. today at Les Schwab, 4805 Evergreen Way in Everett.
Chicken dinner served Sunday
Stillaguamish Senior Center offers an old-fashioned chicken dinner and fundraiser from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the senior center, 18308 Smokey Point Blvd., Arlington.
The menu includes baked chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, salad, dessert and coffee or tea. The cost is $8, $7 for seniors and $5 for those under age 12.
