A proposed county building for Camano Island is the topic of an open house set for 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Camano Multipurpose room, 141 N. East Camano Drive, Camano Island.

Give your input on Marysville planning

The city of Marysville has an opening on its planning commission.

The seven-member commission advises the mayor and the City Council on land-use and environmental issues.

The commission meets at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at City Hall, 1049 State Ave. Other meetings are scheduled as necessary.

The term for this position expires in ­August 2011. Applicants must reside within city limits or the city’s urban growth area, which generally mirrors Marysville School District boundaries. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. March 14.
