Fire district promotes safety
Snohomish County Fire District 3 continues its fire safety awareness program, Keep the Wreath Green.
The Monroe fire district will have wreaths hanging on the outside of its two fire stations through Jan. 3. The wreaths are decorated with green lights. One white light will honor firefighter line-of-duty deaths across the country. To remind citizens of the dangers posed by fire, firefighters will replace a green light bulb with a red one each time they respond to a residential fire.
