See gaseous cloud near comet tonight
If the weather is clear, see the gaseous cloud surrounding the core of Comet 17P Holmes.
It’s unknown why the cloud around the comet is growing, said Jim Bielaga, who owns Aurora Astro Products in Everett.
See for yourself, he said. Step outside after sunset, face north and look for the extra “star” in the thigh of Perseus. Comet Holmes is similar in brightness and appearance to the stars of the Big Dipper and easy to see.
