County services limited Wednesday

Licensing and animal control services in the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office will be closed all day Wednesday for staff training.

The Election and Recording divisions will remain open, and marriage licenses will still be available.

Emergency animal control calls should be made to 911. Non-emergency calls will be handled the next day.

Vehicle and vessel title, registration and permits may instead be obtained from any license subagency.

The subagent offices closest to the Snohomish County campus are: Julie’s Licensing Service, 1001 N. Broadway, Suite A-7, 425-252-3518; and Bev’s Auto License, 9111 Evergreen Way, 425-353-5333.

Introduce kids to joys of Camp Fire

Fall kickoff events are planned to introduce kids to what Camp Fire USA is all about. Events are planned at:

7 p.m. Tuesday, Lake Stevens Senior and Community Center, 1814 124th Ave. NE, Lake Stevens;

5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Monroe Library, 1070 Village Way, Monroe;

6:30 p.m. Monday, Lakewood Elementary School, 17000 16th Drive NE, Arlington;

6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Seaview Heights Elementary School, 8426 188th St. SW, Edmonds;

6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Twin City Elementary School, 26211 72nd Ave. NW, Stanwood;

6:30 p.m. Thursday, Kent Prairie Elementary School, 8110 207th St. NE, Arlington.

Bothell offers free recycling

Save junk?

Construction debris, garden clippings, scrap metal and more can be recycled at no charge at an event sponsored by the city of Bothell.

The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 29 at the University of Washington’s Bothell campus at 11125 NE 180th St. Only Bothell residents can participate.

Large appliances and electronics can be recycled during the event for a fee.
