A committee that is helping to name the Snohomish School District’s second high school has narrowed the list to 10 semifinalists from nearly 500 suggestions.

District residents are invited to comment on the names. Comments will be considered when the committee meets again to narrow the list to three finalists. The school board will ultimately choose a name.

The semifinalist names are:

  • Clear View or Clearview High School

  • Eagle Ridge High School

  • Glacier Peak High School

  • Marshland High School

  • Mountain Ridge High School

  • Mountain Side or Mountainside High School

  • River High School

  • Sahale High School (pronounced sah-holly)

  • Shadow Lake High School

  • Three Rivers High School

    Everett’s Gold Wing Road Riders are expected to kick off their annual charity poker run at 8 a.m. Saturday, starting at the Smokey Point Cycle Barn, 3131 Smokey Point Drive, in Arlington.

    Proceeds will benefit the Everett Food Bank. All motorcyclists are welcome.

    A poker run is an organized motorcycle event where riders travel a course and at designated stopping points, select a card.
