Federal offices will be closed today to honor President Ford, who died last week.
Mail service also will be suspended today, the U.S. Postal Service announced.
The post office said there will be no regular mail deliveries or retail service at offices. Normal mail service will resume Wednesday.
Only essential personnel will report to Naval Station Everett and Whidbey Island Naval Air Station Tuesday, and flags will be flown at half-staff to honor Ford.
Normal operations are scheduled to resume Wednesday.
The 25th annual Robert Burns Supper and second annual Premier Scottish Whiskey Tasting Event are scheduled for Jan. 13 in Mountlake Terrace.
The whiskey-tasting event is planned for 4 p.m. and the dinner at 6 p.m. at the Nile Shrine Center, 6601 244th St. SW.
The events are sponsored by Alba Lodge 315, the Caledonian and Saint Andrews Society of Seattle, Seattle Scottish Rite and Nile Shrine.
The cost for the dinner is $30 per person and entry to the whiskey tasting is $10, with tastings from $2 to $15 each.
