Boy Scout Joel Case will host a dedication ceremony for a memorial of Snohomish County District No. 1 firefighters at 7 p.m. tonight at Hilton Lake Fire Station, 3525 108th St. SE, Everett.
There will be a granite bench and a plaque installed before the dedication as part of Joel’s Eagle Scout project.
Also, there will be a flag ceremony performed by Boy Scout Troop 20. Snohomish Country District No. 1 Fire Chief Ed Widdis and Charles Rincon of the Boy Scouts of America’s Mount Baker Council, will speak during the ceremony.
Be a Village Theatre Gypsy Wagon Player
There’s still time to enroll in Village Theatre’s Kidstage Gypsy Wagon Players musical theater camp, July 17-21, for kids in third to ninth grades.
During the week, students will learn a musical review, develop stage presence, learn theater terminology and etiquette, participate in theater games and get messy with theater crafts.
All Gypsy Wagon Players will have a chance to showcase what they have learned when they perform at the Stanwood Camano Fair.
The Gypsy Wagon Players camp takes place at the Stillaguamish Grange Hall located at 6521 Pioneer Highway in Stanwood. Classes are from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuition is $175.

Volunteers invited to enjoy a game
Snohomish County Volunteer Appreciation Night is planned for 7:05 p.m. July 20 during the Everett AquaSox game at Memorial Stadium.
It’s sponsored by Cascade Bank and United Way as a thank you to the thousands of volunteers in our community.
Volunteer managers may request tickets to Volunteer Appreciation Night by calling the Volunteer Center at 425-921-3459 by Friday.
Mukilteo debate back on agenda
The Mukilteo City Council is scheduled to continue its discussion of choices for a new city hall building at 7 tonight at City Hall, 4480 Chennault Beach Road, Mukilteo.
There are several choices, including building on city land and buying new property.
A decision could be made by July 17.
