GRANITE FALLS — A Granite Falls man shot to death in early August has been identified.
Around 10:30 p.m. Aug. 5, witnesses reported screaming and a gunshot in the 17900 block of 121st Street NE, about 2 miles north of Granite Falls.
Minutes earlier, Jason Philip Harrison, 32, had walked to a trailer where Jason Reeley lived, to confront him about allegedly stolen property, according to a police report. Witnesses reported the two got into an argument.
A witness heard a single gunshot ring out. The witness found Reeley shot at the bottom of a driveway.
Reeley was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 48.
Harrison claimed he fired in self-defense. Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies arrested him for investigation of second-degree murder. He was being held at Snohomish County Jail as of Monday, with bail set at $500,000.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Reeley died by homicide Monday. The cause of death was a gunshot wound.
