A 68-year-old Granite Falls woman was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday morning in Whatcom County.
Linda Loney was a passenger on the 2006 Harley Davidson that hit a guardrail on Mosquito Lake Road, according to Washington State Patrol.
The state patrol said the driver, Gerald McConnell, also of Granite Falls, failed to negotiate a curve and the motorcycle crossed into the northbound lane and collided with the guardrail. He was taken to a Bellingham hospital with injuries.
The state patrol said speed was a factor. According to the report, both riders wore helmets.
