LYNNWOOD — The victim of a two-vehicle suspected DUI collision late Monday night was identified by the Washington State Patrol as Sonja Cooper.
The Seattle woman was 35.
She was a passenger in a 1990 Toyota Corolla around 10:19 p.m. heading south on Highway 99 when the car crossed a concrete divider into oncoming traffic near Highway 525. The Corolla, driven by an Marysville man, 31, struck a Toyota RAV4 SUV on the Corolla’s passenger side, where Cooper was.
Cooper and the Marysville man were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where she died. State Patrol troopers were investigating the collision but suspected driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs was involved.
A 36-year-old Everett man in the other vehicle was not injured.
