Wayne Wayson of Bothell and his 2-year-old son, Samuel, attend a ceremony for the unveiling of a four-story-tall flag on the side of Providence Everett Medical Center’s Colby Campus Tuesday evening. "I think it is awesome, just indescribable," Wayson said. The flag, which weighs 47 pounds, hangs in view of Naval Station Everett and is meant to honor the armed forces. The idea for the patriotic spectacle came from hospital employee Gordy Rose, who contacted Dawn Stieler and her father, Nate Estis, co-owners of the Amazing Pole Holder, an Everett company that makes fasteners for flags. They helped track down the enormous Old Glory.
