SEATTLE — Car thefts are a daily occurrence, but one such theft has area police agencies making a special effort to solve it.
Someone stole a King County Sheriff’s Office police car Friday. Inside was a loaded shotgun, a rifle and other police equipment, said Sgt. John Urquhart.
The car was stolen sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. from the Metro bus barn on Sixth Avenue S. in downtown Seattle as its operator was off helping with WTO duty, Urquhart said.
The car is an unmarked 1999 Ford Crown Victoria, white, with license 51689 C.
The car is unmarked but still looks like a police car, Urquhart said. Anyone with information on the theft should call 911.
