MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Drivers can expect slowdowns on I-5 through Mountlake Terrace during overnight work starting Wednesday.

Contractors working on Sound Transit light rail need to close ramps from Highway 104 onto northbound I-5 from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. the center lanes in both directions for work on a bridge.

On Thursday, the three center of lanes of I-5 northbound will be closed 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. between 244th Street SW and the Mountlake Terrace Transit Center. That evening, the 220th Street on-ramp to southbound I-5 will be closed 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.

The three center lanes of I-5 southbound will be closed 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. Friday between 212th and 228th Streets SW.

Detours use 56th and 66th Avenues W and 220th Street SW.
