A Lynnwood man was charged with second-degree rape Wednesday after allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl and making sure she knew his name.
Bretz G. Washington, 19, raped the girl June 11 while she was visiting a friend at a Lynnwood home, Snohomish County deputy prosecutor George Appel said in Superior Court papers.
“Do you know who I am? I’m Bretz Washington,” the girl quoted her attacker as saying during the incident. She later underwent hospital treatment for bleeding, according to court papers.
When questioned by police, Washington said the pair had engaged in consensual sex, the prosecutor said.
Washington has been jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail.
