Making up days

High winds, icy roads, power outages and snow have caused an unusual number of school closures this year among school districts in Snohomish and Island counties. Here’s a list of districts and their status on rescheduling makeup days. The total missed days are through Thursday, except where noted otherwise.

Arlington: Two makeup days added to end of year. New last day is June 19.

Coupeville: Three makeup days: Jan. 29 (early release), March 16, May 4.

Darrington: One makeup day; date undecided.

Edmonds: Five makeup days. Two added to end of year, making last day June 22. Three others undecided.

Everett: Five makeup days; dates undecided.

Granite Falls: Three makeup days; dates under discussion.

Index: Eight makeup days; discussing extending school year to June 22.

Lake Stevens: Two makeup days added to end of the year; new last day June 19.

Lakewood: Jan. 25 (half-day extended to full day for grades 6-12); Jan. 26 (full-day K-5; half-day grades 6-12); June 18 and 19 (half days).

Marysville: Two makeup days, both added to end of year. New last day June 18.

Monroe: Five makeup days; two decided, June 20 and 21. Three yet to be decided.

Mukilteo: Four makeup days; three set for Feb. 2, June 22 and 25. One date undecided.

Northshore: Six makeup days; four added to end of the year through June 22. Two undecided. Northshore is closed today.

Oak Harbor: Two makeup days; May 29 and June 18 (new last day).

Snohomish: Six makeup days; one made up Jan. 2. Others set for Jan. 31 and June 20-22. One yet to be decided.

South Whidbey: Five makeup days; last day now June 22. Graduation moved from June 9 to June 16.

Stanwood: Five makeup days districtwide; two set: June 20 and 21. Others undecided.

Sultan: Five makeup days; under discussion.
