SEATTLE — Police found a man and a child dead and another man injured in a high-rise apartment on Seattle’s First Hill.
Spokesman Sean Whitcomb says officers were called to make a routine welfare check Thursday at a unit on the 17th floor of the M Street Apartments, at 8th and Marion. He says officers described the scene as “horrific.” The child appears to be younger than 5 years old.
The injured man was rushed to Harborview Medical Center. The hospital reports he’s in serious condition Thursday afternoon in the intensive care unit.
Police aren’t saying how the people were hurt. Whitcomb says there is no threat to the public.
Investigators obtained a search warrant to continue their work.
