SEASIDE, Ore. — A spokesman for the city of Seaside says a 53-year-old man drowned in the ocean.
According to Jon Rahl, the man was visiting the beach with his family Tuesday afternoon when he went under the water. Crews were eventually able to get him to the beach and perform CPR, but he could not be revived. He was pronounced dead at Providence Seaside Hospital.
The man’s name has not been released.
