EVERETT — A man escaped after robbing the Bank of America at Evergreen Way and 50th Street in Everett just after closing Friday afternoon.
The teller was walking from an outdoor drive-through area into the main bank with another employee when a man showed them a gun and demanded money, according to the Everett Police Department.
The teller gave him the money she was carrying into the bank, and he took off running northbound, police said.
About eight police cars responded to the robbery, blocking off a search area and looking for the suspect. The officers and a police dog failed to find him.
Anyone with information about the bank robbery is asked to call the Everett Police Department tip line at 425-257-8450.
