Man found dead in Mountlake Terrace homeless camp identified

Oscar Banos Mejia, 40, was discovered in the bushes along the Interurban Trail on Friday afternoon.

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — A man found dead Friday afternoon in a homeless camp area off the Interurban Trail in Mountlake Terrace was identified Wednesday.

Oscar Banos Mejia, 40, was discovered by a public works employee in the bushes along the Interurban Trail, west of Olympic View Arena, around 1:35 p.m. Friday.

The cause and manner of death for the Everett man are pending, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office reported Wednesday.
