SULTAN — A Gold Bar man died after reportedly walking into traffic early Sunday near U.S. 2.
Benjamin Peacher, 27, was hit by a vehicle near the highway and Sultan Basin Road around 1 a.m., according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
He died at the scene.
The driver remained at the crash site to speak with Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies.
The investigation closed the road for several hours that morning.
