EDMONDS — A man was rushed to a Seattle hospital Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 99.
Firefighters arrived to find the man lying in a southbound lane of the highway near 220th Street SW. Medical crews reported that the man appeared to have been walking in a crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle traveling about 40 mph.
The man initially was unconscious when emergency crews reached him. He was taken by ambulance to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
His condition was unknown Saturday night. No other details about the incident were available.
