EVERETT — Robert Dale Woods II has been sentenced to prison again, just over a year after he got out.
He pleaded guilty last month to harassment and second-degree assault after arguing with a neighbor. He was sentenced Sept. 19 to nearly three years behind bars.
Nearly two decades ago, Woods was found guilty of murdering his girlfriend’s sister and spent 14 years in prison. He was released in May 2017.
Woods, now 38, was under supervision of the state Department of Corrections when he fought with his neighbor this summer.
Woods brandished a knife, threatened to kill the man and ran toward him, according to court papers. Just then, police showed up. Woods reportedly threw the blade into the yard and raised his arms.
The same girlfriend — whose sister was killed — was named as a witness in the 2018 police reports. She and Woods were still a couple at the time.
