ARLINGTON – Snohomish County sheriff’s divers this morning recovered the body of a Tulalip tribal member from the Stillaguamish River near Arlington.
The man, 23, was last seen Sunday in the same area, sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. The man’s identity was not released.
There is no sign of foul play, Hover said.
Sheriff’s officials joined in the search for the man after Marysville police contacted them Monday night, Hover said.
Poor visibility prevented the sheriff’s helicopter and dive teams from mobilizing until this morning. Ground teams searched the river bank into the night.
Tulalip Police and tribal members also joined the search effort.
This morning, the sheriff’s helicopter flew over the area and the crew spotted a body in the river near Big Rock.
