MARYSVILLE — Cigarette use apparently started a house fire in Marysville on Tuesday morning.
The fire was reported just before 7 a.m. in the 4600 block of 92nd Street NE, Marysville Fire Marshal Tom Maloney said.
Flames were confined to the attic and garage, he said. The fire was extinguished in about 20 minutes.
No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $101,000. Crews from Silvana also responded.
Maloney reminds families to be mindful when disposing of cigarettes and other tobacco products.
