Marysville-Lake Stevens roundabout work to cause congestion

There will be detours this week at 83rd Avenue Northeast and Soper Hill Road.

MARYSVILLE — Another roundabout is coming to town, but it’ll cause detours this week at 83rd Avenue Northeast and Soper Hill Road.

Marysville and Lake Stevens are coordinating the project because the intersection is within both cities’ limits. Construction in the area is expected to increase traffic congestion, and the “mini” roundabout will help contractor safety and reduce construction costs, the City of Marysville said in a news release.

The intersection is scheduled to close from Tuesday to June 18.
