EDMONDS — A $372,000 grant from the Washington State Transportation Improvement Board will help the city fill a “missing link” on 238th Street between Highway 99 and Highway 104.
The grant will help the city add 1,000 feet of sidewalk on the north side of the street, upgrade curb ramps, and add a new mid-block pedestrian crosswalk with solar-powered flashing beacons. The city is contributing $118,700 to the project, which has a budget of $491,000. Design work starts in 2016, with construction expected in 2017.
