EVERETT — Two people were wounded in separate shootings early Saturday morning, according to Everett police. The shootings were the sixth such incidents in the city since Wednesday.
Officers were called to the 7600 block of Beverly Boulevard near Casino Road at about 12:30 a.m. for a report of a man who had been shot, said Officer Ora Hamel, a spokesperson for Everett police. The man spoke to police when they arrived, Hamel said.
The man was taken to a local hospital, Hamel said. She did not have any information on his condition as of Saturday afternoon.
Just before 1 a.m., police received a report of shots fired on the 10700 block of 19th Avenue SE, Hamel said. When officers arrived, there was no one there, and they couldn’t find any witnesses.
Shortly after the call, a man walked into Swedish Mill Creek’s emergency room with gunshot wounds, Hamel said. He was also able to speak with officers, she said; though, she did not have any further information about his condition by Saturday afternoon.
As of Saturday afternoon, no arrests had been made in the shootings, Hamel said.
The incidents follow a violent 24 hours in Everett earlier this week. Between Wednesday morning and early Thursday, four shootings left one man dead and four other injured.
