EVERETT — A motorcyclist died Monday after a crash with a school bus in Everett, police say.
Just after 10 a.m. Monday, the Mukilteo school bus driver was heading north on 8th Avenue when he turned left onto West Casino Road, said Everett police officer Kerby Duncan. Meanwhile, the motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was going east on Casino Road.
The bus and the motorcycle crashed.
No kids were on the bus at the time.
The motorcyclist died en route to the hospital, Duncan said. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify him, as well as determine the cause and manner of death.
Police continued to investigate the fatal crash Tuesday, but criminal charges against the bus driver, a man in his 70s, weren’t expected, Duncan said. The Mukilteo School District was assisting authorities.
The intersection was shut down for a couple hours.
