MTV announced that the 19th season of “The Real World” will take to Sydney, Australia.
So that is where, for the 19th time, seven people hoping to launch a career in television — er, “strangers” — live together and we find out what happens when people stop being nice and start being outlandish for the cameras — er, “real.”
“The Real World: Denver” is pulling in millions of teenage viewers and is consistently the highest-rated show on cable among viewers 12 to 34, according to MTV.
This is the third time the show will head overseas, but the first time it has crossed hemispheres. Previous seasons outside of the United States were in London and Paris.
