Arlington: Farmers Market, Super Saturday will coincide
Arlington Farmers Market is open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays through Oct. 26 at Legion Park, 200 N. Olympic Ave., in the city’s old downtown.
This Saturday, the market coincides with Super Saturday, a monthly sale by downtown merchants.

Make photo prints from old slides, negatives
Stillaguamish Valley Genealogical Society wants to help people with important family photos.
Slides and negatives can be brought to the society’s library from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday and photo prints will be made at the time. The cost for each 4-by-6-inch photograph is $1.
Society librarian Mary Buzell plans to be available to do the photo work the second Thursday of each month at the society library, 135 N. Olympic Ave., downtown Arlington.

Airport camp helps train young aviators
Out of the Blue Aviation at Arlington Municipal Airport offers a camp for kids and teens who want to learn how to fly.
The Young Aviators program is for 12- to 18-year-olds. Camp sessions are set for July 7-11, July 21-25 and Aug. 4-8. The camp involves learning about aviation on the ground, field trips and flight lessons.

Vendors, volunteers sought for highway party
Artists, crafters and volunteers are needed for the Mountain Loop Experience festival planned for June 28.
The festival celebrates the reopening of the Mountain Loop Highway between Darrington and Granite Falls. Darrington, Arlington and Granite Falls have events planned during the festival weekend.
Events include a street fair, open-pit salmon bake, music, car show, open air market, sidewalk sales at local businesses and a baseball tourney.

Camano Island
Learn about wildlife habitat during tour
A free garden tour allows visitors to check out backyard wildlife habitats on the north end of Camano Island.
The tour is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Maps will be available at the Camano Senior and Community Center, 606 Arrowhead Road.
Those who take the tour can obtain information about landscaping that benefits wildlife, native plants and composting.
The event is part of the Camano Wildlife Habitat Project sponsored by Friends of Camano Island Parks.

Marysville
Time set aside for families at skate park
The Marysville Parks and Recreation department is setting aside hours at the Marysville SkatePark for younger skaters and families.
Family skate days, for children age 12 and under and their parents, are 9 a.m. to noon weekends. The park, at 1050 Columbia Ave., is open 9 a.m. to dusk, seven days a week.
The program will need to be self-monitored, with occasional support from city parks staff. The family skate program was approved in April by the Marysville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

Cherry sale benefits Lions club charities
Oak Harbor Lions Club plans to sell Washington-grown cherries from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 27 from the club trailer in the parking lot at the Rite Aid store, 31645 Highway 20, Oak Harbor.
The cherries will be sold daily until they are gone.
Proceeds from the sale support community projects including eyeglasses and hearing aids for those in need, student scholarships, Camp Horizon for disabled children, Special Olympics and others.

The Tulalip Tribes plan to send a team of runners and walkers to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, Saturday and Sunday at Marysville-Pilchuck High School in Marysville.
The tribe is looking for runners and walkers to join the team. The relay will last from noon Saturday until 8 a.m. Sunday.

KANU broadcasts traditional stories
KANU-TV 99, the cable television channel run by the Tulalip Tribes, will feature traditional stories as told by tribal elders to students at Tulalip Elementary School. Drums, traditional cedar hats and other pieces of Tulalip culture will be part of the presentation. The show will air throughout the week. Exact show times are available at www.kanutv.com.
New concert season at Tulalip Amphitheatre
Tickets for a concert by Kenny Loggins are on sale at the Tulalip Amphitheatre.
The singing star’s July 8 show will kick off the amphitheater’s 2008 summer schedule. Loggins was born in Everett. Doors will open for the show at 6 p.m.
Trisha Yearwood, KC and the Sunshine Band and other acts are scheduled to perform at the amphitheater this season.
