Arlington: New rules for peddlers, solicitors
Complaints about peddlers have led to an update in the city code, which now requires that peddlers or solicitors obtain a permit to display while they are working. The permit includes the city logo and the peddler’s photo and name.
Peddlers are not allowed to work in the city before 8 a.m. or after 8 p.m.

Granite Falls: Story Time at the library
A new Preschool Story Time is scheduled Tuesdays at the Granite Falls Library.
Children ages 3 to 5 can attend the event at 1 p.m. to hear stories and rhymes, sing songs and become ready to read. The library also holds a regularly scheduled preschool story time at 11 a.m. on Wednesdays.
The event is supported by The Friends of The Granite Falls Library. The library is at 815 E. Galena St.

Marysville: Meeting to be held about 88th
The city of Marysville plans to hold a neighborhood meeting to consider a proposed 88th Street master plan.
The master plan area is generally west of State Avenue and the railroad tracks, extending to Quilceda Creek from 88th Street Northeast south to 80th Street. The plan would establish land uses and design standards on the property.
The meeting is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in the City Hall Council Chambers at 1049 State Ave.

Goodwill offers job training classes
The Marysville Goodwill Job Training and Education Center is planning to offer another round of classes beginning March 14.
Registration for the free classes is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 7 and 8 at the Job Training and Education Center, 9315 State Ave.
All students must complete an interview and placement test before joining a class.

Stanwood: Fundraiser to benefit free clinic
Safe Harbor Free Clinic is hosting a pancake breakfast and silent auction from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 27201 99th Ave. NW, Stanwood.
Cost is $5 for a plate that includes all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage, coffee, tea and apple juice.
The auction also begins at 9 a.m.
Proceeds go to Safe Harbor Free Clinic to help fund an expanded schedule. Beginning in March, Safe Harbor Free Clinic is set to be open every Friday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.
