SEATTLE — A man was shot in the chest after getting off a Metro bus in downtown Seattle and a woman was taken into custody by police Saturday afternoon.
Seattle Fire Department spokesman Dana Vanderhouwen told KIRO-TV that the man’s wound was life-threatening.
Seattle police spokesman Renee Witt says there was some kind of altercation between the man and the woman prior to the shooting.
West Seattle standoff with armed man ends
A man seen walking around his neighborhood with a shotgun surrendered after a standoff lasting more than five hours with Seattle police.
Police negotiators and SWAT team members surrounded the man’s apartment near the Fauntleroy ferry dock in West Seattle after they were called to the scene about 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Police spokeswoman Renee Witt says the man was reported to be agitated, although not pointing the gun at anyone. Nobody was hurt.
Forks: Policeman arrested for alleged rape of child
A Forks policeman has been arrested for investigation of second-degree rape of a child.
Thirty-three-year-old Erik Hanson posted $5,000 bail Friday after his arrest Thursday. He will be formally charged Tuesday in Clallam County Superior Court in Port Angeles.
The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office told the Peninsula Daily News it investigated the case for three months before the arrest.
