SPOKANE — A Spokane County nurse had her license suspended by the state after criminal charges were filed against her in the suicide death of her 23-year-old daughter.
Carol Lambert, 54, has been charged with controlled substance homicide and promoting a suicide attempt after her daughter’s October death.
The state Department of Health said Friday that Lambert and her daughter both ingested a mixture of drugs before her daughter was found dead in a Spokane Valley hotel room. A suicide note signed by both was found at the scene, but Carol Lambert survived.
The Health Department said Lambert and her daughter did not have prescriptions for most of the drugs.
Lambert has 20 days to respond to the suspension.
Efforts to locate a lawyer for Lambert were not immediately successful.
