EVERETT – One person was treated for minor burns at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett this morning after a small fire at the Cascadian Apartments in north Everett.
The fire was reported a little after 11 a.m. at the complex in the 2200 block of 12th Street.
Fire crews quickly found and extinguished the fire that started in a second-floor unit.
Other firefighters searched the building for potential victims and helped remove smoke from the building.
The cause of the fire appears to be accidental from cooking in the kitchen, officials said.
The gender of the resident treated at the hospital was not immediately available.
There was damage to the unit from smoke and to kitchen appliances.
