Edmonds: Sing carols at waterfront
Sing Christmas carols and watch boats decorated in holiday lights at a parade on the Edmonds waterfront.
The annual Edmonds Christmas Ship Sing-a-Long is scheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. 10 at the foot of Dayton Street at the Edmonds Fishing Pier.
Refreshments are being provided by Petosa’s Family Grocer. Edmonds Parks and Recreation is sponsoring the event.

Lynnwood: Watch movie, swim at Civic Lights
Watch a movie, listen to stories or go on a polar bear swim at an event planned for today at the Lynnwood Civic Campus.
The event, Civic Lights, is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. at the campus at 19000 44th Ave. W. The family event is being sponsored by Community Transit. Admission is free.
Children are expected to be able to get photos taken with Santa, play games or watch a movie. Swimming is planned from 7 to 9 p.m.

Monroe: Sky Valley Food Bank needs new toys for kids
The Sky Valley Food Bank is asking people to donate new toys for children in the community.
The food bank is looking for unused toys, books, art supplies, hats, gloves, mittens and scarves. People also can make cash donations.
The food bank is at 233 Sky River Parkway. Donation hours are 8 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday evenings. Donations by check can be sent to P.O. Box 724, Monroe, WA 98272.
Last year, 650 children received new toys, filled stockings, hats, gloves and scarves.

Mountlake Terrace: Drop off kids, go shop
Parents who need extra time for holiday shopping can drop off their children at Kids Morning Out, an event planned by Mountlake Terrace.
Kids Morning Out is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 8 and Dec. 15 at the Mountlake Terrace Recreation Pavilion at 5303 228 St. SW. The cost is $22 for city residents and $24 for nonresidents. Prior registration is required.
The event is expected to feature a variety of activities, including swimming, crafts, games, holiday decorating and more. The event is for children ages 3 to 12.
